We are working in Partnership with Bromley Canoe club
and this year we helped Bromley Borough to finish 3rd in the London Youth
Games, the combined team from Bromley Canoe Club and TS Hood finished
15th out of the 33 boroughs entered, a big well done to all that took
part. in 2006 one of the competitiors gained a bronze medal in the junior
Salom.
A majority of the initial training and progresive training takes place
at West Wickham Pool on a Monday evenings and then to complement and give
experence to our young people the cadets have various oportunities to
try various type of waterways from placid lakes and rivers to more challenging
white water pursuits. But safety is paramount. Cadet work through there
BCU Stars as part of the ongoing training program from basic paddling,
to more complex eskimo rolls and rescue and support strokes.
Pleased to announce that 6 of Hoods cadets gained their 2* awards and
1* awards a big achievement over the past few months.
We have recently been award in August 06, funding from Bromley PCT to
purchase four new white water specification kayaks, there are more designed
for the smaller paddlers and TS Hood has a wide inventory of Boats and
watersafety equipment For more details about
